Wednesday 22nd Sept - Montebello

Up early this morning to collect the Hertz car down by the market.  Left Jean with the cases in reception and came back with our Chevvy 30 minutes later - plus coffee and danish for the journey.  Got to Le Chateau Montebello thanks to the SatNav in about 90 minutes.  Le Chateau is a giant log cabin on a scale that is hard to imagine.  It has a huge number of activities available and I suppose in a way you could liken it to the sporting manor in Devon for the landed gentry or wealthy industrialists.

Our room wasn't ready yet so we were advised to take a tour of Parc-Omega which is a few miles away.  Anyone been close to a bear?  Well we have!  Here are some pics of the fantastic wildlife in the "safari" park.

Tomorrow it's off to Montreal for a few days but we'll be starting with Le Chateau's world renowned buffet breakfast.
